تجارب صينية في مناهضة العولمة

Professor Dai Jinhua
Professor Dai Jinhua is one of the most influential theoreticians and cultural critics in contemporary China. A feminist Marxist, film scholar, cultural and media critic as well as a public intellectual, she has, over the last decade, addressed multiple and expanding audiences. Readers in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan are familiar with her literary, film, TV and popular cultural criticism, just as international feminists in Europe, Japan and the United States are increasingly drawn to her incisive cultural criticism. Professor Dai is currently teaching at the Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture, Peking University, Beijing, China. She has voluminous publications, with dozens of essays and about 10 books in Chinese. An English translation of a collection of her essays is published by Verso Books, entitled Cinema and Desire: Feminist Marxism and Cultural Politics in the Work of Dai Jinhua.

Dr Lau Kin Chi
Dr Lau Kin Chi teaches at the Department of Cultural Studies, Lingnan University, Hong Kong. She is a founding member of the China Social Services and Development Research Centre (CSD), a voluntary organization based in Hong Kong and engaged in development work in China. She is Co-convenor of the Local Governance Programme of the Asian Regional Exchange for New Alternatives (ARENA), a network of scholar-activists from over a dozen countries in Asia, facilitating exchanges in search of alternatives. She is also a board member of the association “PeaceWomen Across the Globe”.

Dr Wen Tiejun
Dr Wen Tiejun, an economist and an expert on rural questions, is currently Dean of the School of Agriculture and Rural Development, Renmin University, Beijing, China. He is also the Director of the Rural Reconstruction Centre of the Renmin University. He was formerly Chief Editor and Executive Director of China Reform magazine, and Executive Chief Secretary and Standing Member of "China Academy of Restructuring Economic System". When he was Senior Research Fellow of the Research Center of Rural Economy, Ministry of Agriculture, he had engaged for ten years in experimental projects in agriculture and rural development throughout China. He has written extensively on economic and social issues, and is a very popular guest speaker in universities, government and non-government institutions.
